Where is the pinecone?
We launched a citizen science project called "where is the pinecone?" together with the Center for Citizen Science at the Steinhardt Museum of Natural History and the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel.
The aim of the project is to engage the public with research on the pinecone opening tradition, and help us locate new activity sites and expand the scope of our knowledge on this phenomenon. We are particularly interested in learning about the different varieties of pinecone opening products that can be found in the wild.

If you encounter signs of pinecone opening activity we would very much appreciate if you can fill our survey form!
